On Grief: Episode 2 When the World Moves On

We reflect on the meaning of misaligned grief: those moments when our inner world is still aching, remembering, or searching for solid ground while others expect us to be “better,” “brighter,” or “get back to normal.”

We take moments to notice what arises within the body and spirit when grief feels out of sync with life’s pace, and we begin to understand grief not simply as an emotion but as a lived, embodied, human experience shaped by relationship, love, and the weight of what we carry.

We also acknowledge how minoritized and vulnerable communities often experience grief in silence, because they often lack the communal support or  social validation of their experience with grief that they so deserve, and why honoring their experience matters.

This episode is hosted by Mario Gross (Mai), a Mental Health Provider, Humanist Chaplain & Celebrant, and is an invitation to slow down, breathe, and remember that your grief is valid, your pace is sacred, and you do not have to navigate this alone.
