K'SerraSerra® Chapel

Our Covenant

K'SerraSerra® Chapel is a community rooted in care, dignity, belonging, and the flourishing of humanity. This covenant names how we aspire to be with one another in community life.

This covenant is not a contract of perfection. It is a promise of intention. It represents the way we aspire to participate in community life—through gatherings, services, dialogue, circles, workshops, educational programs, volunteer activities, and acts of collective care.

As members and participants of K'SerraSerra® Chapel, we covenant to:

  • Honor the inherent dignity and worth of every person.
  • Approach one another with compassion, curiosity, humility, and respect.
  • Listen with the intent to understand rather than merely to respond.
  • Speak honestly while remaining mindful of the impact of our words.
  • Welcome diverse perspectives, experiences, identities, cultures, and beliefs.
  • Make room for both conviction and uncertainty.
  • Support spaces where people may share without ridicule, harassment, discrimination, or unnecessary judgment.
  • Protect confidentiality when personal experiences are entrusted to the community, except where safety or legal obligations require otherwise.
  • Seek repair, reconciliation, and accountability when harm occurs.
  • Contribute to spaces that are emotionally, spiritually, socially, and physically safer for all participants.
  • Encourage the flourishing of individuals, families, communities, and humanity.
  • Act as responsible stewards of the earth and the interconnected web of life.
  • Participate in ways that strengthen belonging, connection, and the common good.
  • Remember that care is not merely something we receive, but something we practice together.

We understand that community is not created by agreement alone, but through the daily practice of showing up for one another with integrity, compassion, responsibility, and a shared commitment to living out these covenantal relationships in our interactions, our service, and our lives.

Together, all members and participants in K'SerraSerra® Chapel Community Life commit themselves to the ongoing work of nurturing a community where all people may find connection, meaning, support, belonging, and the opportunity to contribute to a more caring, compassionate, and flourishing world.
